Professional Make Up Course

The Professional Make Up Course is suitable for complete beginners or those already working in the industry who wish to further their skills. The programme combines the syllabus of our Foundation Make Up Course and our Advanced Make Up Course, and provides comprehensive training for a career in professional make up artistry.
Students receive intensive training in small groups from leading fashion, advertising and celebrity industry make up artists. The in-depth syllabus covers all aspects of make up, from the basics through to high end creative techniques.
Upon completion of this course you will be fully qualified to:
- Work with private clients
- Provide bridal make up
- Work with make up companies
- Assist professional make up artists
- Launch/further a career in the freelance fashion, advertising and celebrity industries
- Work as part of a backstage catwalk team
- Undertake editorial (magazine/newspaper) work
- Provide bodypaint
The Course includes:
- A saving of £250 in fees compared to taking the Foundation Make Up Course and Advanced Make Up Course separately
- A full professional make up kit worth £400

- A BABTAC accredited certificate
- Use of all materials and make up at the session school for the duration of your course

Perfecting & Sculpting The Face

- Application of foundations, powders and concealers
- Highlighting and contouring

Making Eyes
- Mascara and eyelash curling
- False eyelashes, single and strip
- Liquid/Kohl/Gel eyeliners
- Eyebrow shaping
Lesson Four:
Perfect Pouts, Perfect Cheeks
- Lip liners
- Explore the effects of nude, dark and red lipstick colours
- Altering lip shapes
- Blusher and bronzer application
Lesson Five:
Natural Beauty/Smokey Eyes
- Exploring natural vs neutral colours
- Classic smokey eyes
Lesson Six:
Mineral Make Up
- Understanding mineral makeup
- Mineral makeup techniques

Creative Classics

- Exploring 1920’S-1960’S looks

Catwalk Part One:
- Exploring colour for eyes, lips and face
- Colour analysis
- Creating texture with colour
- Research for catwalk makeup designs
- Designing avant garde looks
Lesson Ten:
Catwalk Part 2
- Body art/stencils/pigments
- Using found objects such as gemstones/feathers
- Creating drawings on the skin
- Making your own false eyelashes
- Designing two looks for a photographic shoot
Lesson Eleven:
Final Photo Shoot
- Creating two looks for your final photo shoot
- Working with a professional model and photographer
All courses run from 10am to 6pm with an hour for lunch
