The Session School - Hair Foundation Course





		The Session School Hair Foundation Course is aimed at students who wish to learn the basics of hair styling within the Fashion, TV and Music Industry. Our Course is designed to give students a wider understanding of what is required to become a successful “Session Work” Hair Stylist and the course is aimed at widening the skill set of anyone wishing to learn the basics of becoming a Hair Stylist. This is an 11 week Foundation Hairstyling Course, covering all that is needed for a basic, creative understanding of styling hair. It is a very intensive part time course, run on Sundays only. It is extremely in depth and although there is a lot to cover in 11 weeks, the teaching is virtually one to one, due to very small and intimate classes of no more than 10 pupils each term. Personally we feel this allows the students more time for hands on practice and experience and more specialised teaching. From time to time we will invite visiting specialists from various areas of the hairstyling Industry, to assist with demonstrations or to offer advice and support and further essential information to help our students with their introduction to the exciting world of session work. We feel it is important to offer our students a wide range of different techniques to learn from. The course runs on Sundays, 10 am to 6pm, for 11 weeks – the final weekend will include a professional photo shoot with professional models which the students will take part in to obtain their first photos of their hair styling work. It is important to us that the course runs on weekends only so that anyone may attend it, whether in full time work or already a student elsewhere.
