The Session School was founded in 2008, by Dani Guinsberg one of the UK’s top make-up artists, renowned for her work for magazines such as British Vogue, Teen Vogue, GQ, Esquire, Stella Magazine, British Cosmopolitan and British Marie Claire and advertising clients including M&S, New Look, John Lewis, Barry M Cosmetics and Debenhams. Recognised as one of the UK’s leading hair and make up schools, the main aim of our hairstyling and make-up artist courses is to offer the highest level of training and professional development whilst supporting our students every step of the way. This includes helping students to discover and develop the necessary creative skills and industry awareness needed to follow required for a successful career in professional hair styling and make-up artistry within the worlds of fashion, beauty, bridal and advertising hair and make-up. From taster days, beginners’ workshops, and Foundation level courses through to Advanced level tuition, The Session School has been structured to offer flexibility for students, both from the UK and abroad. Our teaching is unrivalled, and we only employ teachers with at least 10 years of experience who have are actively working in the industry. Each of our team has a wealth of knowledge and a high level of skill, and every member of our staff is passionate about teaching, all of which are essential requirements at The Session School.

Expert Courses in Hair, Make-Up, Airbrushing and Nails

The Session School has a comprehensive selection of make-up artist courses, as well as hairstyling courses, nail artistry training, intensive one-off workshops, master classes and one-to-one tuition, with many classes suitable for anyone wanting to brush up on their own make-up skills. We also offer a variety of scheduled monthly events with leading cosmetics brands and employers, giving students past, present and future the chance to develop skills, meet experts and to make new contacts within the hair and beauty industry. And if English is not your first language, we have make-up courses which include English tuition in partnership with Berlitz, London.

We also have short courses, and one and two day inspirational hair and make-up workshops, including our highly recommended Vintage Make-Up, Catwalk Make-Up and Big Hair Blow Drying course, in addition to private make-up consultations with any of our expert team, and make-up parties suitable for small groups.
